Time for Beany was a puppet show created by Bob Clampett which starred the propeller-cap wearing boy Beany and his loyal friend Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent. The show was broadcast live and was a hit in its day with loyal watching fans such as Albert Einstein, Groucho Marx and many others. On the show puppets were performed by Daws Butler and Stan Freberg. Following this show Time for Beany was made into the animated cartoon Beany and Cecil that ran from 1962 to 1967.
