Hannibal the Elephant

Hannibal the Elephant is an elephant puppet character from the Puppet Show made by Snapdragon Puppets, The Big Little Circus. Hannibal was built by Roger Mara and designed by Elizabeth Luce. He also plays a key role in the show.

Hannibal was built much like Snap, the mascot for Snapdragon Puppets. Having a head made from oil based clay placed in a mold, smoothed, cleaned and painted. Then adding more features such as the trunk, ears and hat, covering everything with felt (except the head).
