Sam Spud is the spoof of the Sam Spade detective stories, this segment portrays a par-boiled potato who types out the voice-over narration typical of film noir on a late night, making and correcting typographical errors that demonstrate word sounds.
This segment makes heavy use of sight gags based on wordplay (such as the narrator referring to the entrance of a "tomato"—1930s slang for an attractive woman—who is revealed to be a real tomato wearing a costume; or a neon sign that blinks the words "Flicker Flicker" or"On" and "Off"). As the segments goses on they gave sam spud a but the segment's ended with the show Between the Lions
In most cases, the segments would end with a live-action boy or girl watching Sam Spud on television and calling out to his or her mother that "there's a talking potato with a hat on and no mouth!" (or some variation), and the mother calling from offscreen telling her child not to worry and that it's educational television, so it must be good for him/her. On one occasion, it ends with the mother telling it is not nice to say one of the words.
And season 2 he was given a green car and a new character to join him and in the frist segment outside she apear as a pooch and sam fixed his mistake his partner preious is a peach wearing a gray shrit and a red scarf on her chest she has a female voice that has the same tone as Jessica rabbit her personality is unknow cuz she dosnt do much but she wears red high heels and she is a peach and has a fake lips like other female's can be seen with fake lips that's all sam partner and the question remain if she was meant to be a love interest or a side kick saddly it isn't answer as the segments stopped being made leaving question's on it but there's a real question where did all the prop's and puppet's and set's go and what do they look like one day will have photo's of what the puppet's looks like
